Also… we hope to have a work call this weekend. We need muscle to help us do a few of the tasks.

We want to:
1. Take down the thrust at the front of the stage
2. Clear out what's under the stage and then replace it in a neat and organized way, so that we can have a clear path for some of our toys to enter by (from under the stage). Maybe even take pictures of what we have so that the theatre can know what's down there.
3. Go through our store of flats and see what we can work with and maybe start making them ready to use.
4. (?) Hang the track for the barn doors (?)

All of this and so much more!

NOTE: When you aren't working on a song, you may be able to help with a project too. OR memorize your lines. OR memorize your lyrics.

STG - Mary Poppins - More Extensive Ensemble Casting Info and Saturday's Schedule.

Just to be more clear about the acting/singing/dancing parts, attached you will find a list that outlines everything. "Everybody," "everyone," and "all" mean just that... ALL. There is nothing cryptic about it. If you want to opt-out of something we have you listed for... let us know. If you joined us late and we still haven't figured out what you can do... no fear, you can still be added to a number. Just remind us and let us know where your strengths lie.

I am double-checking it for accuracy, but I have a list of additional information about the Who, What, When, Where, and Whys. I hope to have that out to you all by tomorrow evening.

MP Rehearsal Tomorrow (Saturday, April 9, 2022) a few things...

1. I don't know about you, but I'm VERY excited to get into rehearsals. I hope you are too! 

2. HELP NEEDED: A fellow castmate has to work tomorrow and he will have no way to get from work (Amazon, just down from the theatre) to the theatre. I think this is on the way to Douglasville on 92/138. If anyone is available to assist with getting him to the theatre, please let me know and I will connect you to one another. He will be ready to be picked up closer to 11:50 am unless something changes. 

3. SCHEDULE: Tomorrow will be music ONLY. If you are in the following numbers (going by the list in Production Pro, which you should all have access to - if you don't, or yours isn't working, let me know ASAP). If you are NOT in any of these, have a great Saturday off!

4. BAND is important because, while we will send communications through the website, and sometimes through email, we will mainly communicate through BAND. So, if you aren't connected through BAND, please check previous emails OR message me and I'll get you connected. 

5.  REHEARSAL SCHEDULE: You should be able to access the rehearsal schedule via the website OR through the BAND app. Again, if this isn't working for you, let me know and I try to help get it set up. 

6. MISSING: As far as I see, tomorrow we are missing Tino, Sharon, Neil, Cara, Katharine, Colleen, and Memorie.

7. PHOTO INFO (IMPORTANT): Tomorrow, our esteemed photographer, Erica will be set up for headshots beginning at 9:30 outside of the theatre.  Please wear a SOLID shirt of your favorite color (no stripes, patterns, or logos please), minimal accessories, and natural make-up. She plans to be there until 11:30.  There will be a second opportunity for headshots next Saturday.

Thank you to those of you who were in attendance. What a great bunch of performers. Those who weren't there, we will see you next time. In the meantime, I will recap some of what happened.

Heather took everyone on an expertly curated tour of the space. For anyone who missed out, we may be able to persuade her to take you on a tour next time. 

I need to have your new conflicts asap, please. I have decided to set a deadline of 4/15 to have your conflicts submitted to us. There is now a form on the Mary Poppins website that will allow you to submit your conflicts to us OR you can email your conflicts to me: jaredcwright@gmail.com.

You can find a rehearsal calendar, show research, important links, and forms that you'll need to fill out like the costume measurement form and the program biography (bio) form. We can talk about the bio later. Right now it looks like it is still showing Steel Magnolias bio information anyway. 

An important set of dates have been added to the calendar and must be attended by all: Headshots. If you are in this show, you get to have your headshot made to go on the wall in the lobby. Since Mary Poppins is a colorful show, we will be doing these shots in color. On one of the two days listed (either Saturday, April 9, or Saturday, April 16).  

I also need you to be sure to send me a list of any allergies that we should be aware of. If you do have any, please email that information to me, please.

Please try your best to NOT listen to the cast recordings of the show. There are many reasons why you shouldn't, a few of which include that I want your character to NOT be influenced by others' performances and I don't want you to get used to a track only to discover that in producing the song on the recording, they cut part of it and it no longer aligns with what we will actually perform.

Are there any questions about how to access the Mary Poppins website? 

I think I have decided that I would like for us to use BAND for this show. If for some reason this goes south, we will switch over to GroupMe. Theoretically, they should both be simple to use.
